01.55 Epoxy Zinc Primer 3:1

155 zinc pigmented quick drying epoxy primer for grit blasted steel which is highly weather resistant and will protect against corrosion for extended time periods. Can be used as a shop primer and may even be left without a topcoat in areas inaccessible after fabrication. This product is also recommended for use in container systems.

It can be overcoated by a wide range of systems including: 158 Hi Build Epoxy Primer Undercoat, 199 Epoxy Primer Undercoat, 211 Epoxy Tar PA, 343 Polyurethane Gloss and 460 Epoxy Finish. However avoid a first coat that contains materials which react with zinc e.g. drying oils.

Coverage approx. 8m²/L depending on surface texture, porosity and method of application.

Apply – designed for application by spray (either conventional or airless) but small areas may be touched up by brush. Ideally, can be used with automatic spray in shop priming plant.

Recoat minimum 4 hours, maximum unlimited.
